I directly rushed to my room, because I knew my mum would ask. For some reason I wanted to avoid “his” topic.

Mum: nouf I’m coming in.

Nouf: what do you want?

Mum: so, you two spent quite a long time talking.

Nouf: more like annoying each other.

Mum: what do you think of him?

Nouf: he’s not bad.

Mum: if you’re smiling that way I doubt that he’s not bad.

Nouf: I’m not smiling because of him.

Mum: a mother knows best. Think about giving him a chance he’s a really nice guy.

Nouf: okay mum. Now please do you mind leaving me alone to…..Ummm think.

As she left the room I tried to think of anything but him, but of course my brain just pulls me back to him and his kiss.

(2 months later)

I haven’t heard anything from him, at least not directly he usually would ask my mum about me. I just finished my finals and im starting my vacation as from today. My mum is telling me wain bin safer today.

Nouf: mama where are we going?

Mum: we are going t London with Bader’s family.

Nouf: is Bader going to be there.

Mum: don’t be stupid. Akeed baykoon mawjood.

Nouf: ill start packing.

Mum: I already packed you’re stuff. Jahzy nafsich we’re going out to lunch with them, and wear something pretty.

Nouf: okay.

I rushed to my room locking the door once, twice, and tried for a third. This is not happening. I can’t spend that much time around him. I walked to my closet and put on a pair of dark jeans and a red polo shirt. I tied my hair in a perfect pony tail. I put my converse shoes on grabbed my blackberry, and went down stairs.

Mum: what are you wearing roo7ay badly bsr3ah.

Nouf: I’m not going to change. If he wants to like me, he should accept my style too.

My mum’s phone rings. She talks for a while, and then looks at me when she hangs up.

Mum: come on they’re here.

I walked to the door, but before I got put I turned to my mum.

Nouf: you aren’t making me sit in front beside him right?

Mum: come on let’s go.

I walked to the car with my mum following behind. He got down from the driver’s seat, Salam 3ala mama and that’s it. I was forced to sit beside him.
